VARIABLE AUTO TRANSFORMER

Varistat  is a continuously variable autotransformer, having a movable carbon, sliding on a silver plated commutator, by either manual or by motor, give an out put voltage from zero. varistat confirms IS/5142/69,  IS/5142/69. Range of Products is from 0.75 Amp to 200 Amp in 1 Phase, 2 Phase or 3 Phase.

* Low magnetizing current: Varistat made with high quality grain oriented silicon
  steel, in adequate quantity so the iron losses are controlled to minimum. the no load
  current is always less than 3% of the ruled current
* No wave form distortion: Varistat provides an out put voltage wave form which is
  faithful and distortion less replica of the input voltage wave form. 
* Load capacity: Varistat  is  designed with unity power factor of 0.8. We can put many
  over load on it because of its Excellent design sufficient off time is provided to reduce the
  temperature build up specially when repeated over loading takes place. 
* Smooth and linear out put: Carbon brush is in constant contact with more than
  one turn. (Voltage between the turns is very less) Sparking is avoided & out put can be set
  very easily at any point
* Silver plated commutator: A special silver plating technique is used on the
   commutator enabling Varistat to withstand high overloads and maintain constant contact
   drop. It also insure smooth operation, long life  and resist to corrosion.
* Low operating torque: A smooth commutators and perfect assembly of coil & well
  centered bushes results in very low operating torque which increase life of  motor/ varriac
* Carbon depositions: Specially up to 10 amp Varistat are available with square or
   round carbon. because of round in shape it rotates on commutators, No traction between
   the carbon and commutator, so carbon deposition is very less when we use the round
   carbon. No wear and tear in carbon's diameter, as a result carbon replacement is not
   required for very long time.
* Double wound Auto Transformer: Specially designed double wound
   Autotransformer have been developed for voltage stabilizer application. these Varistat is
   also available with inbuilt 12v DC motor, which is very cost effective and time saving for
   servo manufacturer. These varistat will eliminate the need of buck-boost transformer & 
   AC or DC external motor, its gears , its couplings and other mechanical requirements in
   stabilizers
